What does this mean for you and your family, within Ipswich family day care?
The Early Years Learning Framework is for children from birth to five years, it was developed by the Federal Government to ensure your child receives quality education programs in early childhood settings.
The frameworks vision is for all children to experience play based learning that builds success for life.
The early years framework describes childhood as a time of BELONGING: BEING: BECOMING
BELONGING : the basis for living a fulfilled life, Everybody needs to has a sense of where and whom they belong ,
At Ipswich Family Day care we strive to develop positive relationships with children, families and educators to develop a strong sense of belonging, within the service.
BEING : Is about the here and now, childhood is a precious time where children need time , environments and opportunities to just BE.. time to play, try new thing, watch the clouds in the sky, and just have FUN..
At Ipswich family day care we consistently strive to empower children through their play,
When.. How… and what… children choose forms the basis of how learning opportunities are delivered.
BECOMING : Is about the learning and development that young children experience, and how we as educators work with you as families to enhance and guide children, to be the best they can be..
At Ipswich family day care , through collaborative partnerships with families , we strive to support and guide children’s learning and development by providing individualised support for educators and children , and develop strategies to achieve best possible outcomes for your children.
Our Philosophy is influenced by and based on the principles of the Early Years Framework, and we share the vision from the United Nations Rights of a Child – Article 29 : “Children’s education should develop each child’s personality, talents and abilities to the fullest. It should encourage children to respect others, human rights and their own and other cultures. It should also help them to live peacefully, protect the environment and respect other people. “
We believe that all children have the right to play, it is how they develop a sense of the world around them, as they begin to explore, discover imagine and create.
When children play they are showing what they have learned, and what they are trying to work out or understand or make meaning of.
PLAY is a core foundation concept of the Early Years Learning Framework; Educators at Ipswich family day care understand that in order for deep level learning and play exploration to occur, children need to have a strong sense of belonging and wellbeing. We will work in partnership with you to gain a deep knowledge of your child and the goals that you have for their time in our service.
